Accuro Mobile

Patient Demographics (Accuro Mobile)

Accuro Mobile has been updated to include a patient demographics view for the iPhone and Blackberry.

Reply to a Message (Accuro Mobile)

Accuro Mobile has been enhanced to give users the ability to reply to a message.


Billing

Add a DCode in Hospital Care Dates Popup (SK)

The hospital billing area of Accuro has been enhanced to allow a DCode to be added on the Hospital Care Dates popup. This is a time saving feature as it means DCodes no longer have to be added individually. This can be accessed after entering a hospital procedure code e.g. 25B, tab to the next field the Hospital Care Dates popup is displayed.

Admission Dates on Bills (AB)

When a new bill is created, the admission date is no longer copied from other bills to the new bill. A bill has to have to have an admission date before it can be submitted, so this needs to be enetered by the user.

Batch Billing (ON)

Batch Billing Settings has been updated to include the Master Number. The Master Number has to be included in all bills from hospitals, nursing homes or institutions. This option can be found in Claims>Daily Claims>Ctrl+b>Click “Batch Billing” in the top left of the window that is displayed and select “Batch Billing Settings.”

Check For Invalid Referring Pract # (MB)

Accuro has been updated to check for Invalid Referring Pract # when a bill has an in-province Referring Provider.

Configurable Submission Location (MB)

The Submission/Remittance folder has been added as a new Location Type to enable it to be configured when required e.g. for clients using Citrix. This new Location Type can be found at Tools>Edit Locations.

Configurable Submission Location (ON)

Accuro has been updated to make the Submission/Remittance folder a new Location type. This means that the folder can be configured for those clinics requiring this e.g. sites using Citrix.

Default Location in Hospital Billing (SK)

Billing has been updated to make the default location of hospital bills created in Accuro to “2-Hospital Inpatient.”

Hospital Care Dates Enhancement (SK)

The Hospital Care Dates popup has been updated to allow a user to manually enter the Already Billed Until date. This can be accessed after entering a hospital procedure code e.g. 25B, tab to the next field the Hospital Care Dates popup is displayed. On this popup you now have the choice to add the # of days already billed (as an integer) or use the new field Already Billed Until. If you double click on the Already Billed Until field, select the date from the calendar displayed.

Ignore No Show/Change Billing Rules

Accuro has been enhanced to allow “No Charge” and “No Show” bills to be excluded when creating a billing rule of the type Billed Within Date Range. To access this feature click Billing>Billing Rules>Add button> Billed Within Date Range>in the exceptions section “No Show” and “No Charge” are selectable.

New Status Column in the Quick Patient Appointment View

A Status column has been added to the Appointment History table and will display Write-Off or Adjusted, as applicable. The default is for the Status column to be hidden. This can be accessed by pressing F4 and viewing the Appointment History tab. To display the Status column, click the tiny table icon at the top-right of the table (above the scroll bar) and click to select Status.

Tariff Prefix Added to Appointment History (MB)

The Tariff Prefix has been added to the Appointment History table. The default is for the prefix to be hidden. This can be accessed by pressing F4 and viewing the Appointment History tab. To display the Tariff Prefix click the tiny table icon at the top-right of the table (above the scroll bar) and click to select the prefix.

Technical/Professional Splits for Radiology and Nuclear Claims (MB)

Accuro has been updated to include a technical and a professional breakdown for Radiology and Nuclear tariffs.

Radiology claims only apply to the following speciality codes: 07, 071, 072, 073, 074, 075 and 076 where the practitioner # starts with 30 and the facility # starts with 60.

Nuclear tariffs are identified by Pattern of Practice code 18.

Total FFNC Bills (AB WCB)

Accuro has a new option called “Create FFNC summary line when over 10 FFNC codes.” When selected this option Accuro automatically creates a summary of all FFNC codes when the user enters more than 10 FFNC procedure codes on a single bill. When this option is turned off, the user will be warned if they have more than 10 FFNC codes and do not have the summary FFNC procedure line.  To turn this option on, a System Administrator will need to go to Users>Manage Security>System Settings>General tab and scroll down to near the bottom of the list.

Write Off / Adjust to Paid Text Reason

Now when Write Off or Adjust to Paid is selected for a claim, a reason text box is displayed. A list of commonly used reasons can be created and saved. The reason will be displayed in the Claim History of a bill.


Documents

Document Review History Between Two Dates

Accuro has been enhanced to allow labs and document review history between two dates. This can be done in Home>Documents Folder and click the Review History button.

It is also possible to view the reviewed item by double-clicking.

Upload Documents Without Selecting a Provider

Accuro has been updated to enable documents to be uploaded to a patient’s chart without having to select a provider. To do this select “none” rather than a provider name.


Encounter Notes

Add a Note for a “non-visit” Date in the Past

Accuro has been updated to allow notes to be added for “non-visit” days that have already past. This allows notes to be added after the fact for out of office service. This entry will create its own date; will not affect any dates of service or billing. The custom date is denoted by the * at the end, the default date displayed is the note’s creation date, but this can be changed.

Press the bottom right of the dropdown to select a date.

Alternative IDs in Template Wizard

Accuro has been enhanced to include the ability to use Alternative IDs (e.g. Social Security Number, Account Number,  Canadian Forces No. etc.) when creating templates in the Template Wizard. These IDs are available in Tools>Template Wizard select your template; Right-click and select Patient>Alternative ID and select from the list displayed.

Faxing Letters

Accuro has been enhanced making the Letter Queue more efficient to use. After you have opened a letter and clicked the "Send and Next" button, the letter queue clears the sent fax and opens the next letter in your queue. This is done automatically without the user having to do anything but press the Fax button.

File Number Format Change

New patient file numbers can now be generated without the year prefix. The year prefix is enabled by default. If the user disables this option the patient file numbers will be generated without the year prefix. This option can be found at Users>Manage Security>System Settings and it is located towards the top of the list of checkboxes.

New Letter Tag for Current Time

In EMR>Encounter Notes there is a new tag available for use <CURTIME> when used this tag will insert the current time into your letter/note.


Export

CDS Filenames when Exporting

Accuro software has been updated at comply with CMS 4.0, Appendix B, CMS 2.1 j.

Patient Chart Export

When exporting patients charts using PDF Export the user can now select the name of the patient to start with. The export continues alphabetically from the selected name. In the event of an issue with exporting charts, the user can select where to resume exporting, by selecting an appropriate name. Patient Chart Export can be accessed at File>Export>Patient Chart Export.


Forms

Form Spreadsheet Controls

Forms have been updated to allow more customization of spreadsheet areas by selecting/deselecting checkboxes Wrap Cells, Use Fixed Row Height and use Custom Font. These options can be found at Tools>Form Editor>select and open the appropriate form>Right-click on the blue border to the left of the spreadsheet area you want to edit and select “Edit.”

New Format Added to DateTextField in Report Editor

The date format MMM-DD-YY (e.g. May-17-11)  has been added to the DateTextField format options. This can be accessed through Tools>Form Editor, in the components section drag and drop the DateTextField label into the main form. Right-click on item and select Edit. Click the arrow to the right of the Date Format field and select MMM-DD-YY.

Repliform CSV Exporting

Accuro has a new featured enabling the user to export forms to a CSV. When exporting the form, the user can specify a Date range, the Form Template and also the Provider, if required. The default for Provider is “All.” Access this feature at Reports>Repliform CSV Export.

The export currently supports form drop downs, date fields, text fields and text areas and will only export these elements from a form if they have been given a Name in the Form Editor.


Labs

INR Tracking Sorting by Date

The INR Tracking has been updated to allow the user to sort by date and reverse chronologically, if required. This can be access at EMR>Encounter Notes tab>INR button towards the bottom of the window.

Lab Requisition Reconciliation

Accuro has been updated to add a new User Preference, “Show Lab requisition Reconciliation on Lab Review.” The default is for this preference is to be turned on. If this preference is turned off then the Lab Requisition Reconciliation window is not displayed when labs are being reviewed. This preference can be found at File>User Preferences>Display>EMR Workflow tab.

Printing Lab Summary

The Lab Summary displayed at the bottom of the Encounter Notes tab can now be easily printed by right-clicking and selecting Print.


Medical History

Immunization Types

Accuro Mobile has been updated to include all immunization types listed in the Canadian Immunization Guide Appendix for Products Available in Canada.

Life Stage

Accuro has been updated to include a new field called Life Stage. This field is available in Problem History and all Medical Histories. The options available for life stage are:

Newborn: Birth - 28 days Infant: 29 days < 2 years Child: 2 years - 15 years Adolescent: 16 - 17 Adult: >= 18 years

If enough patient data is entered to be able to calculate the patient’s age, then Accuro will calculate and update this field, for existing histories.


Other

Display Format of the Framingham Risk Calculator Changed

The way the Framingham Risk Calculator is displayed has been updated. When viewed from the main Accuro window a user can now minimize it when wanting to view a patient’s chart. When viewed from a CDM worksheet the view remains unchanged.

Medadmin.log File Changes

For clients using Terminal Services or sharing a folder on one machine, Accuro has been updated to enable the medadmin.log to be saved to the Window user's folder rather than the Accuro folder. This prevents the log file growing because there is no opportunity to clear out its contents as users keep the medadmin.log file locked for read/writes.

To enable this option, in the Accuro program folder (C:\Program Files\Accuro) there is a file called MedProperties.txt. Open this file and add the following to the end of the file “LOG_TO_USER_FILE=true” Save the file.

Premature Age/Values Can be Plotted on Growth Charts

Where a child’s growth is very different from the growth chart due to them being premature, Accuro has been enhanced enabling measurements based on both the actual birth date and the date they should have been born to be displayed on the same chart. The data based on the actual birth date is displayed as grey dots. The data based on what should have been their birth date is displayed as red dots. The second “birth date” can be turned on and off by clicking the Show Gestational Age checkbox at the bottom of the appropriate Clinical Growth Chart. The second date is remembered by the chart for the next time it is used.


Patient Demographics

Check MSP Full Day Patient Eligibility (BC)

An option has been added to the Scheduler to run MSP eligibility checks for all patients in the column that was selected. The results appear in a new window with the patient names, in alphabetical order with a Green checkmark icon if they are eligible; a red x icon if they are not eligible and a yellow warning icon if some of the demographics required to do the eligibility check were missing. To access this feature right-click on the appropriate Scheduler header and select Check Patient Eligibility.

Customizable File Number Label

Accuro has been updated to allow customizable file number labels. If customized this label will affect the Patient Section and also the Quick New Patient (F5). This field is left blank by default which means that the default of “File Number” is used. If you add your own customized label then that will be used instead. This feature can be accessed at Users>Manage Security>Systems Settings>General tab.

Find Patients by WCB # (MB)

Clients can now find patients by WCB # in User Searches. In the Identifier field (located in the Patients area of Accuro) type in the WCB # and click the Search button (binoculars).

Health Card Swiping (ON)

Accuro has been updated so that it does not require the middle name to match when looking up a patient on the fallback if there isn’t a health card # match.

Manage Security: Set Referring Physician

A new permission has been added, Set Referring Physician. This option is either enabled or disabled and controls whether the Referring Physician field of a patient can be edited. This option is found in Users>Manage Security>Feature Access>Role Permission tab and is located at the bottom of the Patient section.

Quick Patient Appointment View (F4)

The Quick Patient Appointment View has been enhanced to improve functionality. The patient’s name is now displayed in one field in the format Last Name, First Name. Their age is displayed below alongside the Show All Procedures checkbox. To access the enhanced Quick Patient Appointment View, with a patient selected, press F4.

User Defined Required Patient Fields

A new option has been added to allow the user to select the Required Demographics for a patient. This includes “First Name”, “Last Name” and “Health Card # or Birthdate” which are all selected by default. If “Health Card # or Birthdate” is deselected then you have the option to select two other checkboxes “Health Card #” and/or “Birthdate.” The following Non-Name Field Options can also be selected “Enforce in Quick New Patient” and/or “Enforce in Update Patient.” These last two options are not selected by default. This new feature can be found at Users>Manage Security>System Settings>Required Demographics tab.


Physician

Update Providers (SK)

When you select the option to Update Providers (Tools>Update>Update Providers) after you click “Update” a warning message is displayed saying, “Providers will be updated with the current information as provided by MCIB. This could be out-of-date and overwrite changes you have made to providers. Are you sure you wish to continue?” To continue with the update, click “Yes” to exit without updating, click “No.”


Prescriptions

Change Last Modified Date on Ext. Prescriptions

Accuro has updated the software to enable the last modified date on external prescriptions to be updated. When the user right-clicks on an external prescription and sets its status to the same status it currently is, Accuro updates the modified date of the prescription. This can be found in EMR>Medications>Right click on the appropriate medication>Change Status>Select the current status of the medication.

Change Rx Type in Edit SIG

Accuro has been updated to allow the Drug Use field to be updated when an existing prescription is opened in the Edit SIG mode. The Drug Use options available are “Short term” or “Continuous.” This option is available (with a patient selected) in EMR>Medications>Right-click on the medication and select Edit>SIG.

Created Date Added to Prescriptions

Accuro has been updated to add the “Created on” date to a prescription when it is printed out. The date the prescription was created is located just above the “Printed by” details.

Medications Last Updated Date

Accuro now displays the date the FDB was last updated. This can be found in the Medications Search section. User can easily see how up-to-date their Medications database is. This can be accessed by clicking EMR>Medications tab>New Prescription button.


Printing

Patient Immunization Summary Printout Enhanced

The Patient Immunization Summary printout has been enhanced to include patient demographics, this includes, Patient name, Date of Birth, Health Card # and the Family Physician.


Reporting

Report Descriptions

The Reports section of Accuro has been updated to include a detailed description of the reports. The description is displayed in a column to the right-hand side of the report. This can be accessed at Reports>Reporting (or by pressing Ctrl+R). Click to select the appropriate report and the detailed description is displayed.


Scheduling

Long Provider Note Titles in Scheduler

Accuro has been enhanced enabling long Provider Note Titles (displayed beneath the Provider’s name) to be viewed in their entirety by hovering over it with the mouse. These are the notes that are added on the Provider Calendar.

Note: To view the entire note you need to access the Provider Calendar, the Scheduler displays only the title.


Virtual Chart

Searching in the Virtual Chart

When a search in the virtual chart has no matching chart items, a No Results message is now displayed in the virtual chart listing window.
